Fathers Day we took a walk along the Two Creeks track ending up at a lovely marina to have coffee.  John opened his cards and a great photo album.  A lot of work went into that album, we love looking at it, thanks.

Sunday 18 August 2013

On each of the last three Sundays we have gone on a walk.  The prewalk was from Wolli Creek to Sans Souci but it was too long so we stopped at Ramsgate.  The following Sunday the walk was from Ramsgate to Sans Souci.  Its 13k for the whole walk and have spoken to the walks leader and now the walk in a few weeks will be 10k, Wolli to Ramsgate.  As you can see we had excellent weather both days.
Today we drove to Wanda and walked the path around the beaches to Oak Park and then return.  Very pleasant day but I forgot the camera.  Thanks goodness John says.

The Little Snail is a French restaurant in Pyrmont which we went to for lunch.  Yum - pate, duck and of course, sweet - crème brulle.

Afternoon tea

Afternoon tea here to celebrate Margaret's birthday.  Lovely afternoon.

Aberdeen

There was a four day event of the Aberdeen Highland Games and we drove up on the Saturday for the day.  It was a 268k trip each way.  We saw tug of war, pipe bands, sheaf tossing and many stalls advertising clans.  We have never seen so many kilts and the queue was too long to wait at the haggis and black pudding stand.

Sunday 16 June 2013

To get my confidence back in walking, but also to prewalk a little of my next walk from Wolli to Sans Souci, we went from Kyeemagh to Arncliffe on such a lovely day.  We ended with fish and chips by the beach watching planes taking off and landing.

Yesterday the gardening group - 10 - met here over a Tim Tam and a cup of  tea.

Tuesday 4 June 2013

After the fiasco of receiving two left footed boots from the US, John now has got his black ones.  I don't think he needs any more!
An afternoon tea for Helen as it was her birthday during the week.  Our group is smaller as both Margaret and Shirley were not there.  A very nice afternoon.

One Man, Two Guvnors.  Francis Henshall desperately needs a job.  So why would he hesitate when two come his way?  But working for two employers proves tricky in this hilarious play.  A wonderful afternoon at the Sydney theatre and then a walk around the point to Circular Quay.  Thanks KJ for the best seats in the house.

Our first passionfruit was delicious and at $1 each in the shops makes it even better.  There's about another 30 to go on this new l year vine.

Saturday 4 May 2013

We always go to the Hawkesbury Show which we did a few weeks back but still decided to go to Tocal Field Day.  Its just past Maitland in the grounds of the Tocal Agricultural School.  It was twice the size of the Hawkesbury and there were no trashy stalls or rides.  All animals, machinery, clothing. food and the Country Womens Association .  Excellent day.

John received his fourth pair of boots from Sheplers the other day and was excited as he had wanted a black pair for ages.  On opening the box we saw two left footed boots.  You wouldn't believe it.
We walked 10 km from Coalcliff station to Austinmer via the Seacliff Bridge.  Perfect day and the views were spectacular.

Sunday 21 April 2013

It rained and rained Saturday which was the first day of the Hawkesbury Show but it was worth the wait till the next day.  We watched the judging of goats, cattle and donkeys plus I was able to pat an alpaca.  The pumpkin was a little one compared with the others next to it.  It was a great day.

Australia Day was spent at the harbour watching the ferries race and then a ferry ride to Manly for a stroll and coffee.  Lovely day
