Relaxing

This weekend was used for rest and relaxation and with no commitments have vegged out. Had a hair cut on Saturday morning while John food shopped and we read papers in afternoon. When it stopped raining, I went for an hours walk this morning and opened my mystery/thriller book and read until Pat came over for a chat. The ironing while watching tv this evening will keep me out of mischief. Exciting isnt it?

Sunday 13 April 2008

Today John and I went to see 'Paris' at the Dendy with the free tickets I won. We enjoyed it but there were quite a few questions afterwards. After a bit to eat at the Quay, we met Ed and Bernie at the 4 Seasons where they are staying overnight before sailing out tomorrow on the Sapphire
Princess for a 31 one day cruise to the USA. The room on the 22nd floor didnt show the overseas shipping terminal as per booking so after a request, were moved to the 30th floor on another angle and boy what a view. Opera House and Bridge thru one window, and the Observatory and Garden Island through the other. On Saturday Margaret came over and we worked on her knitting of her daughter's top.

Thirroul

I'm making a large batch of chicken, tomato and rosemary hotpot to be frozen and used as evening meals over the next few weeks. Last year we visited the Thirroul fair on the Sunday and thought we'd go again (Sat) as we enjoyed it. The venue was down the main street this time and it didnt have the same atmosphere as along the foreshore of the beach, plus, many of the vendors come on the Sunday we found out. I was looking for the wrought iron birds which stand about 4 feet tall, so I have missed out again this year. We continued to Nowra where John bought the tile paintings of pelicans which will match the others in the bathroom. We stopped for lunch at Kiama for fish and chips on the wharf.
