We were invited to Diane's 60th on Saturday and it was a surprise for her, which is fantastic seeing how many people had to keep it a secret. It was pleasing to hear that Kelly is pregnant and had a few words with Catherine, who I haven't seen for some time.Today we headed to Miranda for clothes shopping and then saw the movie The Painted Veil which we enjoyed (that was using the last of the pre-purchased tickets). The Writers' Festival is on this week and Junot Diaz is speaking twice. Will try to get tickets, as now, very few venues are free as they have been in previous years. He is giving the closing address to the festival next Sunday at 6.30 in the city recital hall.
