We didn't get to Melbourne for Ed's 60th, but we did open a nice champagne to cheer his birthday.

As part of the walking program, I put my name down for Australian Technology Park (Erskinville) to Paddington Reservoir gardens as as its in March, John did the prewalk with me.  It wasn't a great walk but we passed through a couple of suburbs we hadn't been.  A very pleasant day.

From Town Hall and over the Pyrmont Bridge, we turned right to walk the upmarket wharfs and at the end of one we had morning tea.  We continued around the bay and then some street walking till we reached the fish markets.  After a lovely lunch of fish and chips we walked back through Darling Harbour and home by train.  Excellent day.

We walked from Bondi to Clovelly and then on to Coogee, a couple of the best beaches in NSW.  Happy New Year to all.

We walked 8k today from Concord West to Sydney Olympic Wharf on many of the pathways through Olympic Park.  We climbed Bay Marker which was a steep hill with the path winding around it making it a long walk up.  Then on to the brickpit ring walk which is built above the old brick works which was abandoned due to a species of frog.  After lunch at one of the many bbq parks, we headed off for the ferry but just missed it.  As it only runs each hour, we caught a couple of buses one of which went through a new suburb of Newington.
