As all things, holidays must finish and today (its raining) Tom and Gill are off to Qld for more of our wonderful country in the sun.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIONA, HAVE A GREAT DAY

We caught the lift at Circular Quay up to the Cahill Expressway and walked from there across the bridge to the Kirrabillie Markets.  Hundreds of stalls but we didn't buy anything but lunch.  There's a great view from the park under the bridge and then walking around to Luna Park where we caught a ferry to Darling Harbour.  A coffee for John and a chocolate milkshake for me from Lindt, finished off a lovely day. 

Over the past week we've been to town twice, both times to see a movie (silent movie -The Artist and the other Tinker, Tailor Soldier Spy) at the Dendy, both of which we liked.  We went in early one day and visited the Mitchell Library where there was an exhibition on Antartica so on the way down to the Quay passed the statue of Trim, Flinders' cat who sits on the outside of Library near the front.

We had lunch with Ed, Lisa and Darren at Thai Foon at Darling Harbour and it was lovely to catch up and try a couple of foods I hadn't eaten before.
