We walked 8k today from Concord West to Sydney Olympic Wharf on many of the pathways through Olympic Park. We climbed Bay Marker which was a steep hill with the path winding around it making it a long walk up. Then on to the brickpit ring walk which is built above the old brick works which was abandoned due to a species of frog. After lunch at one of the many bbq parks, we headed off for the ferry but just missed it. As it only runs each hour, we caught a couple of buses one of which went through a new suburb of Newington.

We walked from Bondi Beach to Coogee on Monday via the Sculptures, rather than the weekend but it still was busy with people. It was a lovely day for walking. Usually we have stopped at Tamarama and caught the bus back but we continued and passed a few beaches John had not been to. At the end, it was fish and chips in the park - delicious
The French movie - Intouchables - was terrific, well worth seeing.

Today after my massage John met me at Central and we walked down Pitt Street to Circular Quay. I spent my Dymocks voucher (Mark M.) and bought two books, the new Jeffrey Deaver and Jo Nesbo. I"m in for an exciting read. Bought a couple of Chinese cakes to have with our coffee and saw one of the biggest ships that docked yesterday, there were lots of tourist milling about. We crossed to the other side so we could see its whole length. Instead of taking the train home, we decide to catch the bus to Kingsgrove and what a hairy ride that was. The top photo is the clock tower above Central Station.

Today we started at Erskineville station and walked thru small back streets to Australian Technology Park
where the train works were. Its all converted to offices with lots of reminders of the old carriage works.
We continued thru Redfern to Centennial Park to the Paddington Reservoir which has been renovated and is a place for people to have lunch and relax. Its a cool and lovely place.
